Kabeus — Expertise made easy

Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Kabeus Pty Ltd is an Australian company and the publisher of FNCLI and Case Librarian. This policy explains how we handle personal information through the Kabeus, FNCLI and Case Librarian public websites, including Kabeus’s Sodalis domain aliases, and when you contact us about our products or services.

Information we collect

When you contact us by email, telephone or a website enquiry form, we receive the information you provide. This may include your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, message and communication preferences. We also receive correspondence and any information you choose to provide for a demonstration, consulting engagement or support request.

Please provide only information needed for your enquiry. Do not send passwords, credentials or confidential customer records through a public enquiry form. You can make a general enquiry without identifying yourself, but we may need contact or business details to respond or provide a service.

Website operation and security

Our websites use Cloudflare for delivery and security. Requests can include technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages and the time of access. This information can be processed to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect the websites from abuse.

The FNCLI and Case Librarian enquiry forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate enquiries from automated submissions. Turnstile processes browser and device signals for this purpose. Security features may use cookies or similar browser technologies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its information-handling practices, including Turnstile.

The Kabeus website itself has no enquiry form and does not include advertising or analytics scripts in its page code. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking security features may affect your ability to use a product website’s enquiry form.

How we use information

We use information to answer enquiries, arrange demonstrations, provide agreed consulting or product support, maintain business correspondence, operate and secure our websites, and meet applicable legal obligations.

If you ask to receive product news or event updates, we use your contact details for those communications. You can withdraw that request at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe option in the message. An enquiry does not require you to subscribe to updates.

Service providers and overseas processing

Information may be handled by providers that support website delivery, security, email and business communications. We share information for those purposes, where you authorise us to do so, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Cloudflare operates internationally, including in the United States. Information handled by Cloudflare or our communication providers may be processed or stored outside Australia. Locations depend on the service and its processing arrangements; this policy does not promise Australian-only storage. Contact us if you need information about the providers involved in a particular enquiry or engagement.

Customer-managed software

We do not operate hosted or tenanted FNCLI or Case Librarian services. The organisation operating a customer-managed deployment is responsible for its handling of personal information in that environment. This website policy does not replace that organisation’s privacy notices or the applicable software licence and service agreements.

If you provide diagnostic material or other information to Kabeus for support, it becomes part of our handling of that support request. Agree an appropriate transfer method with us before providing sensitive material.

Keeping information

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from unauthorised access, misuse, loss or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information for the purposes described in this policy and any applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Retention depends on the type of record and the relevant business or legal requirement.

Access, correction and privacy concerns

You can ask about the personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@kabeus.com.au. You can also telephone or write to us using the details on our Contact page.

Describe your request or concern and how we can respond. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing personal information. We will review your request, investigate any complaint and respond within a reasonable period. If we cannot grant a request, we will explain the reason, subject to applicable law.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for information about available complaint options.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our information-handling practices change and revise the date above. Other organisations’ websites have their own privacy policies. This policy explains privacy practices; it is not a software licence or a set of website terms of use.
